Amphoe Phrai Bueng (in Thai อำเภอ ไพรบึง ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) in the province of Si Sa Ket . The province of Si Sa Ket is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

Phrai Bueng district borders the following districts (clockwise from the north): Phayu , Si Rattana , Khun Han , Khukhan and Wang Hin districts . All Amphoe are in Si Sa Ket Province.

history

Phrai Bueng was initially set up on October 1, 1969 as a "branch circle" ( King Amphoe ) by separating the Tambon Phrai Bueng, Samrong Phlan, Din Daeng and Prasat Yoe from the Amphoe Khukhan. On August 22, 1975, it was promoted to Amphoe.

Phrai Bueng County is divided into six tambon ("subdistricts" or "communities"), which are further subdivided into 80 muban ("villages").

Local administration

There are two municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Samrong Phlan (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล สำโรง พลัน ), consisting of further parts of the Tambon Samrong Phlan.
  • Phrai Bueng (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ไพรบึง ), consisting of parts of the Tambon Phrai Bueng and Samrong Phlan.

There are also five " Tambon Administrative Organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO):

  • Phrai Bueng (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ไพรบึง )
  • Din Daeng (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ดินแดง )
  • Prasat Yoe (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ปราสาท เยอ )
  • Suk Sawat (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล สุขสวัสดิ์ )
