Amphoe Khun Han ( Thai อำเภอ ขุนหาญ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the south of the province of Si Sa Ket . The province of Si Sa Ket is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

geography

Amphoe Khun Han borders the following districts (clockwise from the west): Amphoe Phu Sing , Khukhan , Phrai Bueng , Si Rattana and Kantharalak in the province of Si Sa Ket. To the south is the province of Oddar Meanchey in Cambodia .

history

In 1958 the "branch circle" ( King Amphoe ) Khun Han (at that time still written ขุน หาร ) was upgraded to an amphoe.

Local administration

There are six municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Si (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล สิ ), consisting of parts of the tambon Si.
  • Non Sung (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โนนสูง ) consisting of parts of the Tambon Non Sung.
  • Khun Han (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ขุนหาญ ), consisting of the remaining parts of the Tambon Si and Non Sung.
  • Pho Krasang (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โพธิ์ กระ สังข์ ), consisting of the whole tambon Pho Krasang.
  • Krawan (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล กระ ห วัน ), consisting of the whole tambon Krawan.
  • Kanthrom (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล กัน ทรอ ม ), consisting of the entire Tambon Kanthrom.
