Amphoe Sila Lat (in Thai อำเภอ ศิลา ลาด ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the north of the province of Si Sa Ket . The province of Si Sa Ket is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

Sila Lat District borders the following districts are (from south clockwise) to Amphoe Rasi Salai in the province of Si Sa Ket, to the Amphoe Phon Sai , Nong Hi and Phanom Phrai of Roi Et Province , as well as Amphoe Maha Chana Chai of the province Yasothon .

history

Sila Lat was initially set up on July 1, 1997 as a "branch circle" ( King Amphoe ) by separating four tambon from the Rasi Salai district .

On May 15, 2007 the Thai government decided to raise all 81 King Amphoe to simple amphoe status in order to unify the administration. With the publication in the Royal Gazette "Issue 124 chapter 46" on August 24, 2007 this decision officially entered into force.
