Amphoe Pho Si Suwan (in Thai อำเภอ โพธิ์ ศรี สุวรรณ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the northwest of the province of Si Sa Ket . The province of Si Sa Ket is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

Pho Si Suwan District borders the following districts (from north clockwise) to the Amphoe Bueng Bun , Uthumphon Phisai and Mueang Chan in the province of Si Sa Ket, as well as Amphoe Rattanaburi the province of Surin .

history

Pho Si Suwan was initially set up on April 30, 1994 as a "branch circle" ( King Amphoe ) by splitting off from the Amphoe Uthumphon Phisai .

On May 15, 2007 the Thai government decided to raise all 81 King Amphoe to simple amphoe status in order to unify the administration. With the publication in the Royal Gazette "Issue 124 chapter 46" on August 24, 2007 this decision officially entered into force.

Pho Si Suwan County is divided into five tambon ("subdistricts" or "parishes"), which are further divided into 80 muban ("villages").

Local administration

There are two municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Dot (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โดด ) consists of the whole tambon dot.
  • Phue Yai (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ผื อ ใหญ่ ) consists of the whole Tambon Phue Yai.

There are also three " Tambon Administrative Organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO):

  • Siao (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล เสียว )
  • Nong Ma (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล หนอง ม้า )
  • I Se (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล อี เซ )
