Braunsbach office
The Braunsbach office (also Braunsbach winery or Braunsbach manor ) was an office of the cathedral chapter of the diocese of Würzburg and the principality of Hohenlohe-Jagstberg in Braunsbach .
history
The core of the small office was Braunsbach castle or palace . The local lords in the Middle Ages were Limpurgian and Hohenlohe feudal people of various sexes. Albrecht von Crailsheim zu Morstein inherited Braunsbach Castle from his father-in-law Heinrich Spieß in 1549. The property remained in the family until the childless death of Wolfgang von Crailsheim in 1637. Helene von Stetten became the heiress. After her death in 1674, the property was sold to the Würzburg Cathedral Chapter. This set up a winery for administration .
After the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss 1803 ownership passed to Hohenlohe-Jagstberg and later to the Kingdom of Württemberg .
