The office of Homburg an der Werren was an office of the Hochstift Würzburg .

In the early modern period , offices were a level between the municipalities and the sovereignty . The functions of administration and jurisdiction were not separated here. The office was headed by a bailiff who was appointed by the rulers. From 1783 the Homburg office was also a central office , i.e. a high court district.
history

The cent was re-formed in 1783. The Centorte were previously assigned to the Cent Karlstadt . These were the official places except Wernfeld and Karsbach.
