Office of Hilders
The office of Hilders (originally: Amt Auersberg ) was an office of the Hochstift Würzburg .
history
The core of the exercise of power in the area was the Auersburg . After the Fulda abbot Bertho IV. And the Würzburg bishop Berthold II. Von Sternberg had reached an agreement to settle a feud about their border area that was fought in 1282, the Auersburg became the property of Würzburg in 1290. As part of the territorialization , the Auersberg office was created from the property belonging to it. After the destruction of Auersburg in 1525 in the Palatinate Peasants' War , the official seat was moved to Hilders. The office was pledged several times in the late Middle Ages. The last pledge was redeemed under Rudolf II von Scherenberg .
