Werneck Office
The Werneck office was an office of the Würzburg bishopric .

In the early modern period , offices were a level between the municipalities and the sovereignty . The functions of administration and jurisdiction were not separated here. The office was headed by a bailiff who was appointed by the rulers. The Werneck office was also the central office , that is, the district of the high court.
history
Between 1250 and 1339 Würzburg acquired Werneck Castle and Office. The statistics of the Hochstift Würzburg from 1699 name 632 subjects in 16 villages. The following were deducted from the office as annual income for the Hochstift: Estimate : 246 Reichstaler, 10½ Batzen, excise and ungeld : 333 fl and smoke pound : 825 pounds.
After the transition to the Electoral Palatinate of Bavaria in 1802, the office was dissolved and the places assigned to the Werneck district court .

At the end of the HRR, the office comprised the following locations: Werneck , Eckartshausen , Egenhausen , Ettleben , Garstadt , Geldersheim , Hergolshausen , Kützberg , Rundelshausen , Schleerieth , Schnackenwerth , Schrautenbach , Sömmersdorf , Stettbach , Vaspühl , Waigolshausen and Zeuzleben
Cent Werneck
The Cent Werneck included Werneck, Ettleben, Waigolshausen, Schnackenwerth, Hergolshausen, Garstadt, Egenhausen, Zeuzleben, Schraudenbach, Stettbach, Vasbühl, Eckartshausen, Rundelshausen, Schleerieth and Bergrheinfeld .
The main court was held in front of the gate in Werneck and in bad weather in the pub. The field names "left at the place of execution" and "right at the place of execution", about 600 meters north-northwest of the castle entrance, remind of the place of execution.
