The Pinneberg District Court is a German court of ordinary jurisdiction . It is one of four local courts (AG) in the district of the Itzehoe regional court and one of 22 local courts in Schleswig-Holstein . It has about 130 employees.

The court has its seat in the city of Pinneberg .

The judicial district covers the area of ​​the following municipalities and cities.

Appen , Bönningstedt , Borstel-Hohenraden , Ellerbek , Halstenbek , Hasloh , Heligoland , Hetlingen , Spar ,

Kummerfeld , Pinneberg, Prisdorf , Quickborn , Rellingen , Schenefeld , Tangstedt and Fronds .

In addition, the municipality-free coastal waters around the island of Helgoland belong to the judicial district , while the remaining North Sea coastal waters of Schleswig-Holstein have been added to the district of the Husum district court . The court is housed in a building at Bahnhofstrasse 17 .

Superior courts

The District Court of Itzehoe is superordinate to the Pinneberg District Court . The competent higher regional court is the Schleswig-Holstein Higher Regional Court .
