The District Court of Elmshorn is a German court of ordinary jurisdiction . It is one of four local courts in the district of the Itzehoe regional court and one of 22 local courts in Schleswig-Holstein .

The court is located in Elmshorn's old town at Bismarckstraße 8 .

Superior courts

The district court of Elmshorn is the entrance court (first instance). It is superordinated to the Itzehoe Regional Court and, in further instances, the Schleswig-Holstein Higher Regional Court and the Federal Court of Justice .
