Amy Landecker (born September 30, 1969 in Chicago , Illinois ) is an American actress .

life and career

Amy Landecker is the daughter of John Records Landecker, known from radio. One of her maternal great-grandfathers is Judge Joseph Welch, who became known as a result of the McCarthy era . Before she began appearing regularly on television, she appeared on the stage at the Steppenwolf Theater , Goodman Theater, and Vicory Gardens in Chicago.

Amy Landecker's first television role was only 28 years old in 1998 in the film Temporary Girl . This was followed by smaller appearances over the next eight years, for example in Alone Against the Future , Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Conviction . In 2007 she played Cindy Lamson in the film Dan - Mitten im Leben! and in 2009 Mrs. Samsky in A Serious Man . Landecker's first series lead role was in 2011 on the short-lived NBC series The Paul Reiser Show . In the following years she again made numerous guest appearances in series. She had minor recurring roles in Revenge and as Louie's mother in Louie . Since 2014 she can be seen alongside Jeffrey Tambor as Sarah Pfefferman in the web series Transparent from VoD provider Amazon Video, which has won several Golden Globe Awards .

Amy Landecker was married to Jackson Lynch until 2011. The two have a child together.
