Andreas Vonderach (* 1964 ) is a German freelance historian , anthropologist and publicist .

Life

Vonderach was born as the older of two sons of the sociologist Gerd Vonderach , former professor at the University of Oldenburg . He grew up in Oldenburg and, after graduating from high school in 1983, studied history and geography in Oldenburg and anthropology (among others with Ilse Schwidetzky ) in Mainz and Ulm at the Herbartgymnasium Oldenburg . After graduating ( MA ), he also dealt with ethnology and museology . He was at the Institute of Human Genetics and Anthropology of the University Hospital of the University of Ulm and was involved in several museums in northern Germany. Vonderach appeared in the late 1990s and early 2000s as an author and reviewer in specialist journals ( Zeitschrift für Volkskunde : Contributions to cultural research and anthropology : International Journal of Human Diversity and Evolution ) and yearbooks ( Alemannisches Jahrbuch and Stader Jahrbuch ).

His volume (2005) with folkloric photographs by the local photographer and poet Wilhelm Carl-Mardorf , published by the Lüneburg Heath Agricultural Museum , was reviewed in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung . In 2009 he published on the basis of the municipal museum Oldenburg accessible letters of during the NS time to England emigrated and affiliated to the Jewish architect Erwin Anton Goodchild sinologist Anneliese Bulling the work of Ellwürden Hampstead , which the archaeologists Jörgen Welp written as "alive and easy to read ”. The likewise “easily readable [] and clearly structured []” work Die deutscher Regionalcharaktere (2012 in the Husum Druck- und Verlagsgesellschaft ) was recommended by the Jena sociologist Karl Friedrich Bohler , because the author puts a “critical [] on the methodological standard both quantitative and qualitative historical and social research oriented [] review of historical and socio-psychological holdings ”. In 2015 he presented a short history of the Oldenburg region to the Oldenburger Isensee Verlag . Other smaller contributions u. a. on the history of health care in Wildeshausen , district of Oldenburg, published in the series Wildeshauser Schriften für Heimat, Geschichte & Kultur by the Wildeshausen eV community and history association

In addition, Vonderach published in 2006 in the British magazine Mankind Quarterly, which political scientists described as racist and to this day in the context of the New Right ( Young Freedom , Secession , New Order, etc.) According to the reviewers of Interdisciplinaria Archaeologica - Natural Sciences in Archeology , in the volume Anthropologie Europa (2008) published by the relevant Graz-based Ares publishing house , he shared anthropological research on the Nazis . On the one hand, the book is technically of high quality, on the other hand, its selection of literature leaves something to be desired and the translations are faulty. In addition, some conclusions are incomprehensible. In HOMO - Journal of Comparative Human Biology , the Ulm anthropologist Friedrich Wilhelm Rösing , according to the publisher, a teacher from Vonderach, found that the author discussed alternatives and contradictions and usually provided good reasons for decisions. Vonderach therefore does not reject any scientific concepts solely on the basis of life-denying ideology. The Berlin political scientist and theologian Felix Dirsch , himself a guest contributor to the Secession , recognized a "wealth of evidence for a 'genetic identity' of peoples". According to the chronicle, Vonderach lectured in 2008 and again in 2009 at the so-called “summer academies” of the new right-wing think tank Institute for State Policy (IfS), which is headed by Kubitschek's successor Erik Lehnert , philosopher. As early as 2001, Vonderach was one of the signatories of the appeal “Against the dismissal of conservative soldiers” ( Götz Kubitschek ) published in Junge Freiheit .

Vonderach currently lives in Oldenburg .
