Anna Bonitatibus

Anna Bonitatibus (born in Potenza , Basilicata , Italy ) is an Italian opera singer ( mezzo-soprano ).

Life

Bonitatibus began studying music at the age of nine. She completed further training in the subjects of piano and singing, each with top marks, and won various international singing competitions. In 1993 she completed her studies with a diploma in opera singing from the Conservatorio Niccolò Paganini di Genova .

Today (2015) Bonatitibus is one of the best-known character actresses in the Italian-speaking opera field with a repertoire of around 50 operas. These include interpretations of the most important and best-known operas by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart such as Don Giovanni under Riccardo Muti , Le nozze di Figaro to Gioachino Rossini with La Cenerentola at the Bavarian State Opera . At the Vienna State Opera she sang Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro , Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia and Isabella in L'italiana in Algeri .

In 2016 she was nominated for the International Opera Award as best singer.
