Anne Twomey

Anne Twomey (born June 7, 1951 in Boston , Massachusetts ) is an American actress .

Life

Twomey began her acting career in the theater. In 1980 she played the lead role in the original production of the drama Nuts , which was filmed in 1987 with Barbra Streisand . For her performance, Twomey was nominated for a Tony Award and won the Theater World Award . She then played in the Broadway production To Grandmother's House We Go . In 1983 she was nominated for the Drama Desk Award for her performance in the off-Broadway production Vieux Caree . The following year she starred in the Obie Award- winning off-Broadway production The Vampires . In 1989 she appeared on Broadway in Tennessee Williams ' Orpheus Descending .

From 1984 Twomey also received film and television roles. Her first engagements included a guest appearance on an episode of the sitcom The Bill Cosby Show , and she played other guest roles in the television series Twilight Zone and Magnum . She made her feature film debut in Wes Craven's horror film The Deadly Friend at the side of Matthew Laborteaux and Kristy Swanson . In Donald P. Bellisarios Thriller Last Rites it was next to Tom Berenger and Daphne Zuniga to see. In the 1990s, she had a recurring guest role as Linda Salerno in the series LA Law - Star lawyers, tricks, processes and starred in the TV movie - remake of Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window next to Christopher Reeve and Daryl Hannah . She also had a major supporting role in the court drama The Confession, alongside Ben Kingsley and Alec Baldwin . Between 2000 and 2001 she played Catherine Zambrano in the series Third Watch - Bet at the Limit .

Twomey has been married to actor John Bedford Lloyd since 1986 and has two children.
