The Anton-Proksch-Haus is a refuge of the Austrian tourist association Naturfreunde , Section Bischofshofen , located on the southern edge of the Tennengebirge in the Salzburg region .
location
The hut is located at an altitude of 1590 m on the Ladenbergalm directly north of the Bischlinghöhe , the famous ski mountain above Werfenweng . The Bischlinghöhe is accessible with a modern gondola lift, which also facilitates the access to the Anton-Proksch-Haus for an easy short hike. This base on the south side of the Tennengebirge is a good starting point for hikes, mountain tours and crossing the mountains, but also for ski tours in winter. Not far away are the Dr. Heinrich Hackel Hut and the Freilassinger Hut .
history
In 1957, the friends of nature in Bischofshofen bought suitable land on the Ladenbergalm and built the Anton-Proksch-Haus from 1961 to 1963. Since 1970 the hut can be reached much more easily with the help of the Tennengebirgsbahn to the Bischlinghöhe. The telephone connection was made in 1985, and in 1987 the access road was completed after only 3 months of construction. It is noteworthy that the tenants on the Anton-Proksch-Haus only rarely changed, since 1980 it has been managed by Walter and Rosi Hinterhölzl.
It is named after Anton Proksch , Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Austria, Federal Chairman of the Friends of Nature 1966–1969.
