Lungötz is a place in Lammertal in the state of Salzburg , and part of the municipality of Annaberg-Lungötz in the Hallein district .
geography
The village is located on the Lammer in the upper Lammertal - 3 km before Annaberg on the B 162 Lammertal road - at the confluence of Karbach , which comes from St. Martin am Tennengebirge , and Neubach, from the Bischofsmütze . On the left is the Tennengebirge , on the right the Dachstein massif with the Bischofsmütze as the local mountain of the Lammertal.
Although the village is practically one of the two main places in the municipality , it is neither a locality nor a cadastral municipality , but is spread over Gappen on the left and Neubach on the right of the Lammer. The village in the narrower sense comprises around 30 buildings, and further down the valley there is an industrial area (Kaindl, Kronotrans).

History, economy and sights
The wood company Kaindl , which is headquartered in Wals-Siezenheim today and is an important wood-based material manufacturer, was founded here in 1897 as a sawmill. The Hüttau dependence was founded in 1954, and in 1959 the company moved to Salzburg. The place itself developed with the establishment of the company, before there was no valley place.
In 1964 a church was inaugurated. It is a simple modern building. Lungötz is the pastoral care center of the Annaberg parish (parish association Lammertal), includes Lungötz, Neubach and Gappen and the St. Martiner houses Lammertal (the area used to belong partly to the parish of St. Martin), with approx. 865 members.
