Arzu Ermen (born November 18, 1968 in Langenfeld / Rhineland ) is a German theater and television actress .

Life

Arzu Ermen was born in 1968 in the Rhineland as the daughter of Turkish immigrants . In 1984 and 1985 she successfully took part in the national competition for young music as a songwriter with her own texts and compositions. After graduating from high school , she began studying social work at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences , but from the late 1980s appeared regularly as a musician in Cologne clubs and hotel bars.

From 1992 to 1995 she studied at the drama school of the Der Keller theater in Cologne. While still a student, she performed her own German-Turkish solo program between the lines in Kreuztal . In the last semester she was hired by Willy Millowitsch for the play master locksmith Bollmann . After graduating, she worked at the Landestheater Detmold for four seasons, where she played the leading roles in the plays The Maids and The Tourist Guide . She played her first leading comedy role at the Millowitsch Theater alongside Peter Millowitsch . Since 1998 she has been working freelance with regular engagements at German comedy houses, among others under the direction of Wolfgang Spier at the Comedy Frankfurt , at the Contra Kreis Theater Bonn, at the Comedy in the Bayerischer Hof in Munich, the Comedy Düsseldorf , the Comödie Bochum and the Grenzlandtheater Aachen . She went on tour with Konzertdirektion Landgraf with the play Ghetto in the main role of Chaja Rosenthal and with the crime play Die Todesfalle .

Since 1995 Arzu Ermen has played guest roles in various television productions, including Tatort , Verbotene Liebe and Die Fallers . In 1999 she played the role of Juanita in the movie Wanted by Harald SICHERITZ .

In 2003 she performed her own stand-up comedy numbers across Germany, including at the Quatsch Comedy Club and the Schmidt Theater .

Arzu Ermen lives in Cologne and does volunteer work in helping the homeless and for traumatized children.
