action

Anansa and David Linderby work as doctors for the World Health Organization in a West African country. During a bathing excursion, Anansa is kidnapped by slave traders because she is mistakenly mistaken for a woman from the Ashanti tribe. The authorities deny the slave trade and cannot help David find it. So he picks up their trail with the helicopter pilot Jim Sandell and the fanatical opponent of slavery Brian Walker and follows them through the desert to get to the slave markets and the backers of the trade, especially Prince Hassan.

criticism

Lexicon of international films : “An elaborate film set in magnificent landscapes that uses the problem of the slave trade as a starting point for a superficial adventure story.” Michael Caine was also disappointed with the project and later called the film the worst of his career.
