The BKK Landesverband Bayern is the umbrella organization of the company health insurance funds that are based in Bavaria . Other health insurance companies can join the regional association. It has its seat in Munich , is a corporation under public law and is subject to the legal supervision of the Bavarian State Ministry for Health and Care .
tasks
The regional association fulfills the tasks assigned to it by the social security code, taking into account the principle of economic efficiency. He has to protect the interests of his members and to support them. When working with other associations, institutions and insurance companies, the special interests of company health insurance and long-term care insurance must be taken into account. The regional association also performs the tasks of a regional association of long-term care insurance funds according to Section 52 of the Social Code Book XI .
The core tasks include contract negotiations for medical and dental care, pharmaceuticals , remedies and aids as well as supply contracts and budget negotiations with hospitals and rehabilitation facilities , emergency services and other service providers as well as outpatient and fully inpatient care services in kind.
In addition, the regional association is involved in hospital planning and the implementation of structured treatment programs (DMP).
He supports his member funds in negotiating individual BKK contracts, economic efficiency and billing audits in contract medical and contract dental care and concludes agreements to promote prevention and self-help .
He exercises political representation at state level and accompanies legislative procedures. For the media and the specialist public, the BKK Landesverband Bayern is an important contact for questions about statutory health insurance.

The highest body is the board of directors . It has 28 members. They are made up of representatives of the insured and half of the employer.
Board
The board administers the regional association and represents it externally in and out of court and ensures that the decisions of the administrative board are implemented. The board consists of one member. In particular, the management board has to report to the administrative board on the implementation of decisions of fundamental importance and the financial situation as well as the expected development.
