Beckeln is a municipality in the Harpstedt municipality in the Oldenburg district in Lower Saxony .

Geographical location
Beckeln is located on the Delme River , about seven kilometers southeast of the district town of Wildeshausen . State road 341 runs through the village between Harpstedt and Twistringen .

Incorporations
The places Groß Köhren and Klein Köhren were incorporated into the municipality of Beckeln with the regional reform that came into force on March 1, 1974. Since then, the community has also been part of the Harpstedt community .

The council of the Beckeln community consists of nine councilors and councilors.
