The mountain meadow associations near Hohegeiß are a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony town of Braunlage in the Goslar district .

The nature reserve with the registration number NSG BR 055 is 18 hectares in size. Most of it is part of the FFH area "Bergwiesen und Wolfsbachtal bei Hohegeiß".

The nature reserve consists of three sub-areas that lie within the Harz Nature Park . Two of the sub-areas are north of Hohegeiß on Bundesstraße 4 and one south of Hohegeiß on the Lampertsberg. The nature reserve places a section of the mountain meadows around Hohegeiß under protection, which are characterized by species-rich golden oats and grass lawns . In the areas north of Hohegeiß there are also wet meadows and swamps along a stream.

The nature reserve is an important habitat for insects such as butterflies , bumblebees , grasshoppers and ground beetles , but also for numerous other endangered plant and animal species.

The area has been a nature reserve since June 2, 1983. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Goslar.
