In the promotion round , the glassworkers with trainer Rainer Schlutter failed in season 2 against the two group leaders BSG Chemie IW Ilmenau and BSG Union Mühlhausen despite the "considerable reinforcement" they had experienced before and during the season .
In the turn of the season in the league , he was up to the turn of the year 1989/90 in the BSG Motor Suhl active and then went back to BSG Jena glass factory where his departure from the Jena league team in the summer of 1989 in the common season preview Fuwo and Deutsches Sport Echo reported had been. Again he won the title in the district league with the works team of the VEB Jenaer Glaswerk . But as in 1989, the rise was missed in 1990 .
The last time in higher-class football, Lindrath appeared in the fourth-class league in the NOFV area at the end of the 1990s . There he was in his late thirties with the newly promoted SV JENAer Glaswerk in the 1997/98 season .
