Military career

Krosigk studied three semesters Law at the University of Halle and was a member of there Corps Marchia Hall . He joined the replacement company of the 4th Jäger Battalion of the Prussian Army on June 24, 1859 as a one-year volunteer and was transferred to the 32nd Infantry Regiment on August 1, 1859 .
