Bernhard Hansky

Bernhard Hansky (born June 29, 1988 in Eisenhüttenstadt ) is a German opera singer with a baritone voice .

Life

While still at school, he began his training as an opera singer as a young student at the Hanns Eisler Music Academy in Berlin, where he then continued his regular studies with Hanno Müller-Brachmann , Roman Trekel and Wolfram Rieger . In master classes he worked with singers such as Angelika Kirschlager, Deborah Polaski , Brigitte Fassbaender and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau .

After his first stage experience at the Opera Oder-Spree music festival , he was able to celebrate his first successes with Rossini in Wildbad or at the National Theater Brno , where he made his debut in the role of Dandini in La Cenerentola by Gioacchino Rossini at the age of 22.

Before completing his studies, Bernhard Hansky was accepted into the opera studio of the Komische Oper Berlin , where he could be seen in all productions of the repertoire. From this time he took up his guest activities, which he u. a. to the Staatsoper Berlin , Staatstheater Wiesbaden , Staatstheater Mainz , Volkstheater Rostock , Wuppertaler Bühnen , the Kurt-Weill-Fest in Dessau , the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg , the Birgitta Festival in Tallin , to Copenhagen , the Theater Chemnitz and the Teatro Comunale Luciano Pavarotti in Modena led. He achieved great success in the role of Don Giovanni by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart , which he played in 2016 at the Estates Theater in Prague , where the opera premiered in 1787 .

From the 2015/16 season he was a member of the permanent singing ensemble of the Semperoper Dresden, to which he is closely connected even after his departure. There he works regularly with conductors such as Christian Thielemann , Tomáš Netopil, Lorenzo Viotti , Frédéric Chaslin , Massimo Zanetti , Patrick Lange and Alessandro DeMarchi .

At the beginning of the 2020/21 season, Bernhard Hansky will switch to the ensemble of the Hamburg State Opera .
