The Bettenberg is a landscape protection area in the area of the city of Dornhan that was designated by ordinance on July 6, 1962 by the Horb District Office .

The approximately 10 hectare landscape protection area Bettenberg is located immediately north of the Dornhan district of Fürnsal . It belongs to the Obere Gäue natural area and is located in the Black Forest Middle / North Nature Park .
Landscape character
The Bettenberg is an approx. 656 m high elevation in the shell limestone, which was previously used as a sheep pasture. Today it is largely planted with trees, some of which grew on old stone bars . There are arable land in the west and north. A sports field was created in the center of the nature reserve. In the south, the protected area borders directly on the location of Fürnsal.
