location

The nature reserve Schiltachtal from Teufelskopf to Hohenschramberg lies west of the valley town on the left slope of the Schiltach valley . It belongs to the Central Black Forest natural area . It is bounded by the Lauterbach in the south, by the Schramberger municipality border in the west and north, and the locality or the Schiltach in the east.

Landscape character

The area is mostly forested. There are only more open areas around the littered yards and tines. The Hohenschramberg ruins stand out in the south .

Contiguous protected areas

In the south of the territory which is Schonwald Felsenmeer (Schramberg). In addition, the southern part of the area belongs to the FFH area Schiltach and Kaltbrunner Tal . The area is located in the Black Forest Middle / North Nature Park .
