The Bijlsma Trader 9000 is a type of cargo ship from the Dutch shipyard Scheepswerf Bijlsma Lemmer.

history

The former Maineborg already with crane platforms, but still without cranes .

The ship type was designed by Conoship International in Groningen in collaboration with the shipping company Wagenborg Shipping . Most of the ships were built at the Dutch shipyard Scheepswerf Bijlsma Lemmer, while one ship was built at the Frisian Shipyard Weligart in Harlingen . The Markborg, the model ship of the series, was the first ship built after the shipyard moved to Lemmer .

The ships are operated by Wagenborg Shipping. The ships here form the M-Class. Wagenborg uses the ships, among other things, in European tramping . Some of the ships were sold from 2012. Four ships went to the Sakhalin Shipping Company (SASCO) in Cholmsk and form the BT9000 type here. SASCO uses the ships in various liner services from Vladivostok . Two more ships went to Reskom-Tyumen in Tyumen , which among other things uses the ships for the transport of machines and equipment as part of industrial projects in north-eastern Russia.

The motor acts on a controllable pitch propeller via a reduction gear . A shaft generator with 940  kVA apparent power and two generators driven by Caterpillar diesel engines, each with 438 kVA apparent power, are available for generating electricity. An emergency generator powered by a Caterpillar diesel engine with an apparent power of 132 kVA was also installed. The ships are equipped with a bow thruster driven by an electric motor with an output of 650 kW .

The ships have two holds . Load space 1 is 39.20 m long and 13.50 m wide, load space 2 is 52.50 m long and 13.50 m wide. The rooms are 10.86 m high. They are mostly box-shaped, only in the front area of room 1 and the rear area of room 2 they taper a little. The capacity of the holds is 13,059 m³. Of this, 5,451 m³ are in hold 1 and 7,608 m³ in hold 2. The holds are closed with six or eight pontoon hatch covers. The hatch covers can be moved using a hatch cart.

The ships are prepared for the transport of containers . Cell guides can be set up in the rooms . The container capacity is 604  TEU , of which 264 TEU in the rooms and 340 TEU on deck. 108 TEU can be loaded in room 1, six 20-foot containers in a row, up to five containers next to each other and four containers on top of each other. 156 TEU can be loaded in room 2, eight 20-foot containers in a row, up to five containers next to each other and four containers on top of each other.
