Bijou Lilly Phillips (born April 1, 1980 in Greenwich , Connecticut ) is an American actress , singer and model .
life and career
Phillips is a daughter of John Phillips and a sister of Mackenzie Phillips . She started working as a model at a young age. She was already on the cover of the interview when she was 13 and on the Italian Vogue when she was 15 . At the age of 17, Phillips signed a recording deal with Almos Records and ended her modeling career. In 1999 she released her debut album I'd Rather Eat Glass , which was produced by Talking Heads member Jerry Harrison. A year later she was photographed for Playboy .
In 1999, Phillips first experienced acting. In 2000 she had a bigger role in Almost Famous . A year later she worked in Tart - Jet Set Kids . After her starring roles in Larry Clark 's controversial Bully (2001) and the horror film Octane - Cruel suspect (2003), she was in 2005 alongside Jeff Bridges and Kim Basinger in the adaptation of John Irving's novel The Door in the Floor - The Door in the Floor to see . Also in 2005 she starred with Anne Hathaway and Michael Biehn in Havoc , the feature film debut of the multiple Oscar- winning documentary filmmaker Barbara Kopple .
2006 to 2007 Phillips starred in David Fincher's film Zodiac with Robert Downey Jr. and Jake Gyllenhaal in front of the camera. In Eli Roth's film Hostel 2 , she played one of the leading roles alongside Heather Matarazzo and Lauren German .
Phillips was also busy producing their second album.
She is the half-sister of actresses Chynna Phillips and Mackenzie Phillips . Phillips has been dating actor Danny Masterson since 2005, and they married in October 2011. Both are Scientologists . Their first daughter was born in February 2014.
