Biograph is a compilation album by Bob Dylan . It contains 53 songs on 5 LPs / 3 CDs, 31 of which have already been released on albums, while 22 pieces are either singles, live versions or unreleased songs. The selection covers the years 1962 to 1981. The 42-page booklet contains rare photos and texts by Cameron Crowe .

The album was released by Columbia music label for the premiere of Bob Dylan's 24th year of recording. It was one of the first box sets to be released on CD.

One of the songs first published on Biograph is Lay Down Your Weary Tune, the song that ends the Martin Scorsese film No Direction Home - Bob Dylan . Another, Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window ?, is one of 31 songs to which British writer Nick Hornby dedicated his book of the same name in 2003.
