The diocese Altamura-Gravina-Acquaviva delle Fonti ( Latin Dioecesis Altamurensis-Gravinensis-Aquavivensis , Italian Diocesi di Altamura-Gravina-Acquaviva delle Fonti ) is a diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in Italy with its seat in Altamura .
It was founded in 1248 as the Altamura prelature . The prelature, located in the ecclesiastical province of Bari , changed its name to Altamura e Acquaviva delle Fonti on August 17, 1848.
Unified on September 30, 1986 with the Diocese of Gravina , which is first mentioned in the 10th century and was united with the Diocese of Montepeloso in 1818 , and thus raised from the rank of prelature to a diocese, it now reached a size of 1,309 km².
