1959 World Bobsleigh Championship
The 18th Bobsleigh World Championship took place from February 7th to 15th, 1959 in St. Moritz , Switzerland . The two-man bobsleigh world champions went to the Italians Eugenio Monti / Renzo Alverà , the USA won the title in the four-man bobsleigh. It was the last gold medal for the Americans until the 2009 Bobsleigh World Championship .
