1989 World Bobsleigh Championship

The 41st Bobsleigh World Championship took place in 1989 on the Pista olimpica di bob in Cortina d'Ampezzo , Italy . Cortina was the venue for the eighth time. While the GDR bobsleigh with Wolfgang Hoppe and Bogdan Musiol won the two-man world championship, there was a double victory for Switzerland in the four-man decision .
