Robert Scott "Bob" Dailey (born May 3, 1953 in Kingston , Ontario ; † September 7, 2016 in Florida , USA ) was a Canadian ice hockey player who played 624 games for the Vancouver Canucks between 1970 and 1981, among other things and Philadelphia Flyers in the National Hockey League on the position of the defender has denied. During his nine seasons in the NHL, Dailey took part in the NHL All-Star Game twice.
Career
Dailey spent his junior years between 1970 and 1973 with the traditional Toronto Marlboros in the Ontario Hockey Association . There the defender had a very successful time, which was crowned in 1973 by winning the double from the J. Ross Robertson Cup of the OHA and the Memorial Cup of the entire Canadian Hockey League . With the Western Canadians he spent the first three and a half years of his professional career, which he had started directly in the NHL. In the middle of the 1976/77 season , Dailey was transferred to the Philadelphia Flyers in January 1977 in exchange for Larry Goodenough and Jack McIlhargey, who were looking for a versatile defender after the Stanley Cup triumphs in 1974 and 1975 . to be able to play for the championship again. In his first full year of play with the so-called "Broad Street Bullies" , Dailey set a career record with 57 scorer points and was invited to the NHL All-Star Game for the first time .
