Bojan Bazelli

Bojan Bazelli , also Bojan D. Bazeli (born August 15, 1957 in Herceg Novi , Montenegro ) is a Montenegrin cameraman .

Life

Bojan Bazelli was born and raised in Herceg Novi . Even as a child he was interested in photography and used his father's camera to do so and was able to persuade his mother to convert the pantry into a darkroom . He deepened this interest so intensely that after high school he attended the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague . There he learned his trade with the Czech cameraman Miroslav Ondříček, among others . Under him he was also an intern in the production of Amadeus in 1984 . After about six years at university, he received an offer through an agent to fly to New York City to work as a cameraman for the war in Chinatown . The director Abel Ferrara wanted him badly. With King of New York - King between day and night and Body Snatchers - Attack of the Body Eaters , two other films with Ferrara followed.

Before Bazelli worked as a cameraman for his first commercial, he had already made 17 films. Nonetheless, he won two Clio Awards for promoting Isuzu and Pepsi .

He was also in music videos such as Vision of Love by Mariah Carey responsible for the camera.
