Brandon Bollig (born January 31, 1987 in Saint Charles , Missouri ) is a retired American ice hockey player . The Center denied in his 2010 lasting until 2018 professional career, among other 241 games for the Chicago Blackhawks and Calgary Flames in the National Hockey League , however, came mostly in the American Hockey League used. With the Blackhawks he won the Stanley Cup in the 2013 playoffs .

Career

Brandon Bollig began his career as a hockey player with the Lincoln Stars, for which he was active from 2005 to 2008 in the junior league United States Hockey League . He then attended St. Lawrence University for two years , for whose ice hockey team he played parallel in the National Collegiate Athletic Association . The 2009/10 season ended the center at the Rockford IceHogs , for which he scored a goal and an assist in three games in the American Hockey League . In the following season he was regularly used at the Rockford IceHogs in the AHL and scored four goals in 55 games. The American began the 2011/12 season in Rockford, but later made his debut for their cooperation partner Chicago Blackhawks in the National Hockey League .

On June 28, 2014, Bollig was given to the Calgary Flames in exchange for a third-round vote in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft . With the Flames, he fulfilled his three-year contract, which he had signed with the Blackhawks, where he was used exclusively in the AHL with the Stockton Heat in the 2016/17 season . In July 2017, he then joined the San Jose Sharks as a free agent . He was active there until February 2018, when the Sharks handed him over to the Nashville Predators , together with Troy Grosenick , without having completed an NHL mission in San Jose . In return, the Sharks received a six- round vote in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft . In Nashville, he ended the season without receiving a continuing contract there in the summer of 2018. He then announced the end of his active career in January 2019.
