Brigitte Bauma

Brigitte Bauma (born September 7, 1965 in Graz ; actually Brigitte Harten , born Brigitte Baumhackl ) is an Austrian opera singer specializing in youthful-dramatic soprano .

Life

Brigitte Bauma was born in Graz, where she also grew up. In addition to school, she took piano and singing lessons at the Johann Joseph Fux Conservatory from 1978 to 1983 . After graduating from high school , she began studying at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz in 1983 . In 1988 she completed her studies with a diploma with distinction in singing / opera. 1989 was their graduation ceremony for Master of Arts instead (subject of the written work: The figure of Elisabeth in Wagner's Tannhauser and their interpretation in directing concepts of the 20th century ). This was followed by vocal studies at the Accademia Ottorino Respighi in Rome . Since 1999 she has received private singing lessons from Johanna Lotte Fecht.

Brigitte Bauma was at the United Theaters in Graz from 1990 to 1992. In the following five years she was at the Hildesheim City Theater . She has been at the Landestheater Detmold since 1997 . In 1991 she was a member of the choir of the Richard Wagner Festival in Bayreuth . There are also several guest engagements at other theaters.

Brigitte Bauma has been engaged several times as a guest soloist on various stages. In addition, a DVD recording and a CD with Viennese songs with the tenor Stan Meus and the Quartet Salut Salon were made of the production “Chlestakows Wiederkehr” at the Landestheater Detmold .

Bauma has been on the jury of Jugend musiziert in Germany since 1999 , and since 2003 she has been on the jury of the International Robert Stolz Singing Competition in Hamburg.
