After ending her career in 2005 after the UEFA Cup semi-finals, Ørn only finished fourth in the league in 2005, was then runner-up again in 2006, but never got past fifth and only reached the cup final in 2010 and 2014 , but lost both finals.

National team

Sandaune played three games for the Norwegian U-16 team at the Nordic Cup in Denmark in 1988 , which the Norwegians won. With the U-20 team, she took part in the Nordic Cup in the older age group in 1990.

On March 20, 1995, she made her debut at the age of 22 in the Norwegian national team in the game for 3rd place in the Algarve Cup 1995 against the USA . She was not nominated for the 1995 World Cup, where the Norwegians won the title . It was only in the first game after winning the World Cup that she was brought on again in the 83rd minute of the game against Australia . She was then used in the next 15 games and scored her first two international goals in her third game in a 12-1 win against the Republic of China (Taiwan) , the biggest win of a European against an Asian team. She won the Algarve Cup with Norway in 1996 and was also nominated for the first ever women's Olympic football tournament at the Atlanta Olympics. After the first group game against Brazil, she was not used in the second group game for the first time. From there followed a series of one or three games, interrupted by breaks of one or three games, in which she won the Olympic bronze medal and the Algarve Cup in 1997 , but in the squad at the home European championships , where Norway was eliminated in the preliminary round stood, but was not used.

This was followed by five games in a row, with participation in the four-nation tournament , which was held for the first time in 1998 in the People's Republic of China , in which Norway came second. When she won the Algarve Cup in 1998 - to this day the Norwegians' last title in the Algarve - she was only used in a group game and in the final victory. After the final, she was used in the following 12 games, in May 1999 she was only on the bench in a game against Italy, but after that she was never absent until her last game. So she also took part in the 1999 World Cup and after three wins in the group and a 3-1 in the quarter-finals against permanent rivals Sweden, her team was well on the way to defending their title, but then had to defeat 5-0 in the semifinals China accept, in addition to a 5-0 defeat in August 1985 against Sweden, the highest international defeat for the Norwegians. The game for 3rd place was then lost to Brazil on penalties , with Sandaune being one of the successful Norwegian shooters. After all, the Norwegians qualified for the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney by reaching the semifinals , and there they won the gold medal with their team. In the final against the USA she was in the starting line-up. After their team equalized a minute before the break and took the lead in the 78th minute, they had to accept the equalizer in the second minute of stoppage time. In the 102nd minute, a golden goal from Dagny Mellgren succeeded in winning. It is the only Olympic final that was decided by a golden goal.

At the EM 2001 she failed with her team in the semi-finals against the old and new European champions Germany . On July 17, 2002, she made her 100th international match in a 2-2 draw against Canada . At the 2003 World Cup , they were eliminated in the quarter-finals against defending champions USA .
