Bruno Fritz (born March 4, 1900 in Berlin ; † June 12, 1984 ibid) was a German cabaret artist , actor and voice actor .

Life

After attending secondary school, he studied at the drama school of the German Theater in Berlin founded by Max Reinhardt . Then appeared on various Berlin theaters (including the Schiller , Residenz, Lessing , Nollendorf and Kurfürstendamm theaters ).

Together with Günter Neumann and Tatjana Sais , he founded the Tatzelwurm cabaret in 1935 .

From 1945 Fritz was in broadcasting operates, in 1948 he was among the founding members of the post-war cabarets, the RIAS telecast The islanders , initially, and later broadcast only on radio on television. As a “professional Berliner ” he appeared in this program in various roles until 1967, especially portraying Mr. Kummer , who telephoned his imaginary interlocutor Mr. Pollowetzer about the small and big worries of Berliners.

From the mid-1930s he occasionally appeared in supporting roles in films. After 1945 he played the native Berliner in various supporting roles, although his comedic talent never really came into its own. He usually portrayed executives in an ironically exaggerated manner, such as the military or general managers.

On television he was the typical Berliner in many programs - the so-called "heart with a snout", which he also performed on the boulevard stages. His last major appearance was in 1973 on television alongside Rudolf Platte and Friedrich Schoenfelder in the Schwank Der Raub der Sabinerinnen .

As voice actor he lent Bud Abbott , Richard Widmark ( mistress of the dead city ) and Gino Cervi (luxury woman) his voice.

He was buried in the Berlin-Schmargendorf cemetery. The grave is located in Dept. F-3-19 / 20.
