action
After the summer holidays, Marion, Conny, Gaby, Jacqueline and Uschi are on the train to Seeburg, where they go to boarding school. During the trip they meet trumpet player Jochen and his band. You were hired by innkeeper Blatzmann to work as musicians in the new Alte Mühle restaurant not far from the boarding school. The opening should be in the evening and the girls promise to secretly break out of the boarding school. When Jochen and his friends reach the Alte Mühle , Blatzmann tells them that it cannot be opened. The investors jumped out at short notice, so that not even dishes are available for the guests.
Jochen goes to the boarding school in a suit and with a sticky goatee to secretly talk to Marion about the plight of the old mill . The boarding school director Ms. Busenius considers him to be the head of the school office who is supposed to secretly check the boarding school. Ms. Busenius had applied for 100,000 marks from the school office to renovate the boarding school. All they know about the inspector is that he should wear a goatee. Before Jochen can introduce himself, Ms. Busenius quartered him in the boarding school and introduced him to the girls as an advisor for the school office. This makes it easier for Jochen to organize the rescue of the old mill . He and his band members secretly pick up dishes, cutlery and glasses from the boarding school. Nevertheless, the girls do not manage to secretly leave the boarding school in the evening. The inauguration is a failure, so Jochen and his bandmates only play for the desperate Blatzmann.
The next day the girls start actively promoting the Alte Mühle . They speak to rich men in the area, flirt with boat owners and invite senior citizens from a health resort to the restaurant. One of those addressed in this way is the real speaker Mayer, who has tried in vain to get in touch with Ms. Busenius. She always thought he was an admirer of the girls and brusquely showed him the door. Mayer therefore calls the school council personally for help, who immediately sets off for Seeburg. Not far from the boarding school, the school board meets the girls who have secretly run away from the boarding school and want to run to the old mill . Without further ado, the school council takes her to the mill in his car. Meanwhile, Mayer succeeds in introducing himself to Frau Busenius. Together they examine the bedrooms and find a room empty. You now also go to the old mill and break into the roof, as the restaurant is closed due to overcrowding.
In fact, thanks to the girls' advertising, the second evening is a complete success and Blatzmann is happy. Marion tells the school council, whose identity she does not know, that the girls only left the boarding school for one evening and only for a good cause, especially since the headmistress is not allowed to know about it. Shortly afterwards, Ms. Busenius is standing in the room with speaker Mayer, but the school council praises the girls' behavior as long as it does not repeat itself. The evening ends with dancing and singing.
Production notes
The plot largely takes a back seat to the numerous hits . The main actress Marion Michael is against the clinging cliché of liana, the girl from the jungle in the then fashionable short haircut with her original dark hair. Despite these changes and remarkable singing and dancing, the film did not bring her a decisive new beginning as an actress or pop singer.
The interior shots were shot in the Arca film studio in Berlin-Pichelsberg . The town of Seeberg mentioned in the film is fictional. The opening scene was created on what was then the Mosbach – Mudau railway in Baden-Württemberg . The other outdoor shots were shot at Glienicke Palace and on the Havel in West Berlin . The film structures come from Ernst H. Albrecht . Ingrid Zoré created the film costumes . Harald Sielaff was responsible for the choreography .
The actor Rudolf Vogel mentioned in some sources does not appear in the film.
