Bruno Nelissen Hook

Bruno Nelissen-Haken (also: Bruno Nelissen , Bruno Nelissen Haken , * November 5, 1901 in Hamburg as Franz Albert Bruno Haken , † May 16, 1975 in Hamburg) was a German writer .

Life

Bruno Nelissen-Haken's youth were shaped by his national sentiments. From 1918 he belonged to a company of the pre-military " youth armed forces" . After the end of the First World War he continued his high school education, which he interrupted again in the spring of 1919 in order to become a member of the Freikorps " Brigade Ehrhardt " as a rifleman . After Nelissen-hook in the summer of 1919 Notabitur had taken, he began 1920 the study of law at the University of Hamburg , which he in Jena and Würzburg continued. During this time he began to publish literary works.

From 1928 Nelissen-Haken worked as an "intern" at the Landesarbeitsamt Nordmark in Hamburg. After the publication of his novel "The case Bund dog" in which he described an exemplary unemployment destiny and criticism of the role of labor offices exercised, took place in October 1930 his contract without dismissal . The subsequent process, which Nelissen-Haken brought against the authority, caused a stir throughout Germany and ended in 1931 with a settlement in which the state employment office committed itself to complying with the statutory notice period and to issue a regular certificate. Bruno Nelissen-Haken lived as a writer near Lüneburg in the following years , from 1934 in Berlin , then in Baden-Baden and finally again in Hamburg. During the thirties he worked for a time as an appraiser for the National Socialist things game movement.

Bruno Nelissen-Haken was the author of narrative works , plays and radio plays . After he had devoted himself mainly to the unemployment problem from 1930 to 1932 , he switched to entertainment literature during the Third Reich . He achieved particularly great success with the book "Herr Schmidt seine Dackel Haidjer", first published in 1935, and other dog books, some of which were reprinted until the 1980s . Nelissen-Hakens farmer's novel "Der Peerkathener Mädchenraub" was filmed in 1941 by Johannes Meyer for Ufa and his debut "Der Fall Bundhund" was made into a television play by Eberhard Hauff under the title "Männerwirtschaft" .
