The COSAFA Women's Championship 2019 , the women's soccer championship of southern Africa , took place from July 31, 2019 to August 11, 2019. As in the previous year, the venue was Port Elizabeth ( Nelson Mandela Bay ) in South Africa . The tournament is organized by the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA). The defending champion was the host's selection, which won again and for the sixth time overall.
Participant and mode
12 teams had confirmed their participation in the tournament. These played in the group stage in three groups of four teams each. The draw for this took place on July 3, 2019. The group first and the best second in the group qualified for the semi-finals.
