The Missionaries of the Precious Blood ( lat. : Congregation Missionariorum Pretiosissimi Sanguinis Domini Nostri Jesus Christ , religious symbol : CPPS ) is a Society of Apostolic Life with the seat of the General Administration in Rome . It was founded in 1815 by Gaspare del Bufalo in the Abbey of San Felice near Giano dell 'Umbria , Italy.

In 2011 the fellowship had approximately 673 members in eight provinces : Germany , Austria and Liechtenstein , Iberia , Italy , Poland , Canada and two in the United States . There are vicariates in Brazil , Chile , India and Tanzania .

The general moderator is Francesco Bartoloni , who succeeded Barry Fischer in 2007 .
