Carles is a municipality in the Philippines in the province of Iloilo . It has 68,160 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census). The community borders on Bancal Bay , which is rich in fish. In front of it are the islands of Gigantes , Binuluangan , Calagnaan and Sicogon , which belong to the administrative area of the municipality. The municipality borders the Jintotolo Canal to the north and the Visayas Sea to the east .
