Carol Ann Susi

Carol Ann Susi (* 2. February 1952 in Brooklyn , New York City ; † 11. November 2014 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American film - and theater - Actress .

Life

Susi was of Italian descent. She learned acting at HB Studio in New York City and moved to Los Angeles in the 1970s. In the following years she appeared mainly as a supporting actress in feature films and as a guest actress in television series. Her best-known role was that of Mrs. Wolowitz in the sitcom The Big Bang Theory , which she impersonated in 39 episodes of the series as a voice from the off . In addition to her film and television work, Susi also worked as a theater actress and as a speaker for two computer games . She died of cancer on November 11, 2014 .
