Caroline Maria Frier (born January 16, 1983 in Cologne ) is a German theater and television actress .

Life

Caroline Frier completed her three-year theater training in 2008 at the drama school der Keller in Cologne. In the local Theater der Keller she made her debut alongside the then cellar boss Meinhard Zanger in Jean-Paul Sartre's drama Closed Society , which was staged by the former artistic director of the Ruhr Festival Wolfgang Lichtenstein .

In 2008 she shot the film Putzfrau Undercover with Julia Koschitz and Katy Karrenbauer . In it she played a member of a cleaning crew who collects information for a fired lawyer at her former workplace. Then she stood in front of the camera with Michael Kessler in Kessler's etiquette . In 2009, Frier took on an episode role in the series Our Charly . From 2010 to 2011 she played in the daily soap Hand on Heart . Since 2012 she has been featured in the daily soap Alles Was Matters as Bea. In December 2015, Caroline Frier announced that she was leaving the soap. In the eight-part RTL - sitcom Do not get dead plays Frier next Jochen Busse and Petra Nadolny the lead role.

Her sister Annette Frier is also an actress. Beside her she stood in front of the camera as Biggi´s secretary for the series Danni Lowinski . Here she met Dirk Borchardt , whom she married in May 2015. In April 2020 it was published that they had already split up in summer 2019.

Awards

In 2006, Frier received an award in the category of best young actress from the NRW trade magazine Theater pur . In 2010 she was nominated for the “ Puck ” theater award as best young actress. In 2012 she was awarded the German Soap Award as best newcomer .
