Cassian Dapoz (born August 12, 1874 in Campill , Austria-Hungary , † August 16, 1946 in Meran ) was a painter and restorer in South Tyrol .

Life

Cassian Dapoz attended the Königliche Kunstgewerbeschule München (KGS) from 1905 to 1908 and then attended a restoration course with Eduard Gerisch in Vienna. In 1908 he settled in Obermais near Meran. His “studio for church painting and painting restoration” was in the Trutzmauerhof.

His works are mainly kept in the style of the Nazarenes , but can also be partially assigned to late historicism .
