The Cessna T303 Crusader is a six-seat, twin-engine touring aircraft. It is mainly used as a business aircraft.

history

The prototype N303PD flew for the first time on February 14, 1976. This model had four seats and two boxer engines with 119 kW each. In this configuration, the model with the then designation Cessna Model 303 Clipper would have competed with other similar models from the competition. Even before the start of the approval process, the design was replaced by the T303 model with six seats and more powerful engines (2 × 250 hp). The new, effective advertising name was Crusader (English for crusaders). The Cessna Model T303 Crusader received its approval in August 1981, and delivery of the series machines began in October of the same year. After 297 machines were built, production was stopped in 1986.

technology

The Cessna T303 is a low- wing aluminum construction with retractable nose wheel landing gear , Fowler flaps and conventional controls. The aircraft impresses with good short take-off properties, a spacious cabin and good payload. The fuselage is not designed as a pressurized cabin. Luggage compartments are located in the engine nacelles, the nose and in the rear of the cabin.
