Chransdorf ( Lower Sorbian Gózc ) is a locality in the municipality of Altdöbern . The place is centrally located in the Oberspreewald-Lausitz district in southern Brandenburg .

Chransdorf is located in Niederlausitz in the south of the Niederlausitzer Landücken nature park .

Altdöbern is north of Chransdorf. In the northeast is the place Pritzen . It lies on the opposite side of the Altdöberner See . The lake in the east of Chransdorf emerges from the former Greifenhain opencast mine . In the southeast, Woschkow follows a district of the town of Großräschen , which is south of Chransdorf. In the west the place borders on the municipality Bronkow with the districts Lug and Lipten .

history

Local history

The German place name Chransdorf is derived from a personal name, possible is the Low German name krane for crane or the Lower Sorbian name Chron . In 1623 the German name was given as Kransdorf and in 1664 as Cranßdorff . The Lower Sorbian variant of the name Gozc was mentioned in 1761. This refers to a settlement in the forest, the names are related to places with the name Gosda such as Gosda in the neighboring municipality of Luckaitztal .

As a result of the Congress of Vienna Chransdorf came to the Kingdom of Prussia and belonged to the district of Luckau . It was an exclave in the district of Calau . On January 1, 1926, Chransdorf was incorporated into Altdöbern. After the Second World War, Altdöbern and Chransdorf belonged to the Calau district, which was newly founded in 1952 .

The place belongs to the church district Niederlausitz .

The Lower Lusatian mining tour cycle path leads through the village.

Economy and Infrastructure

The federal motorway 13 runs west of the village . The Lübbenau – Kamenz railway runs past Chransdorf and joins the Lindthal – Altdöbern Süd railway here .

In 2015, a wind farm with a total output of 57.6 MW was completed near Chransdorf . It consists of a total of 24 wind turbines of the type Nordex N117 / 2400 with a capacity of 2.4 MW m and a rotor diameter of 117 that were built on 141 m high towers. The annual standard energy capacity of the wind farm corresponds to the electricity consumption of around 57,000 households.
