Christian Johann Christoph Bürckstümmer (born March 11, 1874 in Ansbach , † April 11, 1924 in Erlangen ) was a German Protestant clergyman and university professor.

Life

Christian Bürckstümmer was the son of the master butcher Christian Bürckstümmer.

He attended elementary school and, until 1892, the humanistic grammar school (today: Carolinum grammar school ) in Ansbach.

In the winter semester 1892/1893 enrolled him at the University of Erlangen for his theological studies, he in the winter semester 1894/1895 University of Greifswald continued until he returned to Erlangen in the winter semester 1895/1896. Church historical work

From 1913 to 1914 he was editor of the periodical Alt-Dinkelsbühl. Messages from the history of Dinkelsbühl and its surroundings , which appeared six times a year in the Wörnitz-Boten in Dinkelsbühl. From 1922 until his death he edited the articles on Bavarian church history and published other works on church history.
