Life

He belonged to an important family of organ builders in Herford. The father Hinrich Klausing (1642 / 43–1720) originally came from Rheda , but settled in Herford. Johann Berenhard Klausing was also an organ builder of his five sons . From 1710, Christian appeared as an organ builder and continued his father's business with his brother. From 1720 to 1755 he also built organs independently. The main focus of his activity was in the Central Weser area, but he also created a plant in East Frisia. On November 1, 1714, he married Christina Ilsaben Schlueter, who gave him eight children. Christian Klausing spent the last two years of his life in Hamburg.
